Head-On Collision at Paramus Road and Linwood Avenue: One Injured

Paramus NJ, a head-on collision at the intersection of Paramus Road and Linwood Avenue  in Paramus on Tuesday afternoon, January 14, left one driver injured and required emergency response from multiple agencies.

Details of the Crash

The accident involved a black KIA Soul and a Honda CRV. The driver of the KIA Soul sustained a non-life-threatening neck injury and was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Paramus EMS ambulance for treatment.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.

Emergency Response

  • Paramus Police Department and Paramus EMS were the first responders to the crash.
  • Ridgewood Police Department assisted by providing traffic control at the busy intersection.

Traffic Impact

The collision caused temporary traffic disruptions at the intersection. Ridgewood PD’s swift response ensured traffic was redirected and minimized delays for other commuters in the area.

  1. Another dangerous intersection..

    1. And so Paramus plans to put a Costco around the corner which will only exacerbate the traffic problem in that area. Agreed, it is a dangerous intersection.

  2. Poorly timed lights. Heavily used to bypass Route 17. Blind spots for drivers in non-turn lanes. Not the first nor the last accident at this intersection. Thankfully this one was not fatal.

  3. Wait until the northwest corner of Paramus Rd. and E. Ridgewood Ave., just down the street from there, is developed.

    1. Can’t wait for both to be developed. Ugly.

      1. Self-development is quicker.
