WYCKOFF, NJ — A 50-year-old Wyckoff resident has been arrested following a weeks-long multi-agency investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Brian C. Saracusa on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Saracusa faces multiple severe charges, including the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), the creation of deceptive visual media, and invasion of privacy.

The Cyber Crimes Investigation Explained

The arrest was the culmination of a highly targeted investigation coordinated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer.

On Tuesday, July 14, 2026, law enforcement officers executed a court-authorized search warrant at Saracusa’s residence in Wyckoff.

According to authorities, the investigation revealed two distinct areas of illegal activity:

  • Deceptive Visual Media & CSAM: Investigators uncovered that Saracusa allegedly utilized the internet to create and distribute a computer-generated video containing child sexual abuse material.

  • Invasion of Privacy: The probe also revealed that Saracusa had photographed and recorded an adult in various states of undress on multiple occasions without the victim’s knowledge or consent.

Breakdown of the Official Charges

Following the execution of the search warrant and subsequent evidence recovery, Brian C. Saracusa was taken into custody and officially hit with the following charges:

  • Second-Degree Distribution of Child Pornography (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(a)(i))

  • Third-Degree Possession of Child Pornography (N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(b)(iii))

  • Third-Degree Creation of Deceptive Visual Media (N.J.S.A. 2C:21-17.8b(3))

  • Third-Degree Invasion of Privacy (N.J.S.A. 2C:14-9b(1))

Saracusa has been remanded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ, where he is currently awaiting his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.

A Collaborative Law Enforcement Effort

Prosecutor Musella expressed his gratitude to the local and regional departments that made the swift arrest possible. The operation relied heavily on the coordination of the Wyckoff Police Department, as well as participating members of the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force, including:

  • Hasbrouck Heights Police Department

  • Norwood Police Department

  • Waldwick Police Department

  • Washington Township Police Department

  • New York City Police Department (NYPD)

Legal Disclaimer: Prosecutor Musella emphasizes that the charges against the defendant are merely accusations. Brian C. Saracusa is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
