‘After Ground Zero’: Journalist Mike Kelly to Discuss 9/11 Legacy and Unhealed Scars at Ridgewood Public Library

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Award-winning journalist and columnist Mike Kelly will visit the Ridgewood Public Library on Tuesday, August 25, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM to present his powerful book, After Ground Zero: Everyday Americans and the Unhealed Scars of 9/11.

A Decades-Long Journey Through the Aftermath of 9/11

On September 11, 2001, Kelly crossed the Hudson River aboard a tugboat to reach the smoke and destruction of Lower Manhattan. That initial crossing marked the beginning of a quarter-century reporting journey documenting the profound human toll left in the wake of the terror attacks.

Drawing on 25 years of firsthand reporting—spanning Ground Zero, war zones in Iraq, Guantánamo Bay, and military centers in Washington—After Ground Zero chronicles the enduring struggles of:
