Secaucus NJ, as the November election approaches, Americans face a pivotal decision about the future of the nation’s economy. According to Goya Foods CEO Bob Unanue, the choice between prosperity and poverty couldn’t be more clear, and the candidates representing these options are obvious.
Speaking on Fox & Friends Weekend, Unanue emphasized the stark contrast between the economic records of former President Donald Trump and the current Biden-Harris administration. “You have two records that are very clear that Donald Trump had prosperity. And, the Harris-Biden administration gave us inflation and basically poverty,” Unanue stated. “They’re driving us into poverty. Poverty is slavery.”
Economic Decline: A Result of Policy Missteps?
Unanue pointed to specific policies that he believes have contributed to America’s current economic struggles. Chief among them was the Biden-Harris administration’s stance on fossil fuels. “They started off by declaring war on fossil fuels — the Green New Deal, a weakness around the planet, which drove war in Ukraine,” Unanue explained. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine, both key players in global agriculture and fertilizer production, has exacerbated costs worldwide, contributing to rising inflation.
The CEO’s assessment of the administration’s track record is grim: “We’ve just gone from bad to worse,” he said, questioning how the Biden-Harris administration can spin the idea that Americans are better off now compared to previous years.
A Struggling Economy: Trump’s Criticism
Unanue’s comments echo the concerns of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, who has been vocal about what he sees as economic mismanagement. At a Wisconsin rally, Trump pointed out the recent August jobs report, which showed a loss of 438,000 full-time jobs. He also highlighted Harris’ role in tie-breaking votes that, according to Trump, have fueled inflation: “Harris cast the tie-breaking votes that caused the worst inflation in American history, costing a typical family $28,000.”
Concerns Over Economic Proposals
As the Biden-Harris administration faces scrutiny over its economic policies, Vice President Kamala Harris’ floated ideas, such as a federal ban on price gouging for groceries, have raised concerns among investors and media. While Harris aims to protect consumers from corporations exploiting high prices, critics argue that such interventions may not address the root causes of inflation.
The Divide Between Citizens and Non-Citizens
Unanue also expressed his concerns about the perceived imbalance between benefits for legal residents and non-citizens. “The average Social Security check is $1,200. Illegals coming into this country received nearly $4,000 in benefits,” he claimed. According to Unanue, this dynamic discourages hard work and self-sufficiency, which are core values for a thriving society.
As the country heads into a critical election season, the debate over economic policies and the future of American prosperity is front and center. The choice voters make in November will determine whether the nation follows a path toward renewed prosperity or continues along what some see as a road toward economic stagnation.

He’s right…this is Obama’s ‘Leveling’ concept.
Her policies will be terrible for the US, but she is a woman of color.
DEI is so cool.
Good, practical man. But won’t change sheep’s mind. They are all set in trump is bad, we need a woman of color for president even if it makes no sense whatsoever.
Harris is an empty suit!
I think I will buy different beans now.
