Ridgewood NJ, during Monday night’s BOE meeting, a resident alleged that BOE president Michael Lembo unlawfully formed a new BOE committee (the “personnel” committee). State law prohibits formation of committees without prior BOE approval. No such approval was obtained by Mr. Lembo, said the speaker.
The speaker also alleged that Mr. Lembo appointed himself as a member of the new committee. The speaker said that Mr. Lembo had no right to appoint himself to a “personnel” committee because he has a conflict of interest in that a member of his immediate household is employed by the BOE.
Mr. Lembo was not present at the meeting. Thus there was no comment from him as to the validity of these new allegations.

“Hearsay?” Seriously? Someone is in denial.

The Personnel Committee issue was very clearly explained during the meeting. Dr. Schwarz wanted an HR/Personnel Committee. As Board Pres. Lembo tried to set one up (he did it incorrectly and should have allowed Kwak on it but he didnt–ok?).
But instead we are going to act like this was the crime of century and chase yet another Superintendent out of town just because Kwak is pissed that she was excluded from the committee. The committee met 1x and was disbanded. Lembo lost. No harm, no foul. How about moving on and trying to support the new Administration instead of acting like every thing is “illegal” and “corrupt.” Mistakes were made. Lessons learned. Enough already.
The posted article makes no mention of the new Superintendent. So why are you suggesting that people are trying to run him out of town?
You conveniently did not address the issue about Mr. Lembo appointing himself to the personnel committee despite the fact that his live-in girlfriend works for the school district.
So we can only guess why he didn’t show up at the meeting. And where were all the other BOE ‘geniuses’… esp. Brogan and Siobhan who appear to never be at a loss for words.
It is not hearsay for gods sake.
More will be coming out about Lembo. This is only a fraction. The guy is a huge heap of shit.

Maybe RBOE should have a committee to oversee committee’s who want to start committee? Are you people for real?! You do realize you people b**** and moan over staff and at the end of the day, NO ONE OUTSIDE OF RIDGEWOOD CARES!!!! MOST PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN RIDGEWOOD DON’T CARE!!! Stop making it about yourself and take care of the students…. Maybe you should change titles from “Board Members” to “Narcissist Members”….
