Englewood Cliffs NJ , on Saturday April 9th at approximately 12:34am,Englewood Cliffs patrol officers responded to a report of a commercial burglar alarm activation at an auto dealership on Syvlan Avenue in Englewood Cliffs. Upon arrival, Officer O’Shea and Officer Rampersad performed an exterior check which initially revealed that the premises were secure.
Moments later, a key-holder for the business contacted headquarters stating that he was monitoring the interior surveillance cameras and noticed that an unknown person was inside the building. Officer Minetti and Officer Jacob responded, as well as officers from the Fort Lee Police Department, Englewood Police , and Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Departments to perform an interior check of the building.
After a thorough search of the premises, Officers located Kelvin L Dennis, 26, of Staten Island, hiding in an equipment delivery room. Mr. Dennis was placed under arrest and transported back to police headquarters for processing. He was charged with Burglary and Possession of Burglar’s Tools.
and was out free 45 minutes later.
