Waldwick NJ, according to the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department , on Thursday at approximately 10:30 a Waldwick Police officer on patrol on Franklin Turnpike spotted a dumpster on fire where the fire had extended to the structure. He had the Waldwick Fire dispatched to the scene. Chief Mike Ferrara was in command and ordered a two-out engine, with NORCON being activated and received a second alarm equivalent.
While Midland Park’s engine and Wyckoff’s tower ladder was en-route they were redirected to another alarm at the N/W Utilities Authority. Ho-Ho-Kus Fire FAST Team responded to the scene on Franklin Turnpike. Quick action by first responding Waldwick Firefighters kept this fire from getting into the interior of the building. We thank all the mutual aid companies for their help. No injuries were reported.
