Paramus NJ, retail giant Amazon, made its highly anticipated debut on the Garden State’s supermarket scene. The company’s first Amazon Fresh grocery store in New Jersey opened at 7 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, in Paramus. The new 40,000-square-foot store is located at 30 E. Ridgewood Avenue in the space formerly held by Fairway Market in the Fashion Center . Store hours are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco joined Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera and Amazon employees opening the store .
Amazon Fresh is more associated as a grocery delivery service for Amazon Prime members than a brick-and-mortar store, but there are over 35 store locations across the country.
This store features “Just Walk Out shopping,” which lets customers avoid a checkout lines. Instead, they are charged once they leave the store, hmmm what could possibly go wrong with that? If you just Look up and there are thousands of cameras watching your every move .
Unit pricing is by the ounce. Good luck trying to price match with any other store unless you’re really good at multiplying by 16.
Absolute travesty of a store. Place is an overpriced dump.
