Ridgewood NJ, another bad and misleading article on moving Ridgewood elections to November ,once again a news outlet omits the single most important issue: moving election to November means Ridgewood residents have given up their tight to vote on the school budget.  The School budget accounts for 2/3 of the property tax bill in the Village .

The amount of media outlets that have omitted this significant fact from the debate appear to be pushing willful misrepresentation of the facts . By choosing to no longer vote on the schools budget residents have given up one of their civic duties and abandon a powerful  tool for school district oversite.

The school administration clearly promoted ending the budget vote to keep meddling tax payers from asking too many questions about the budget especially given the huge influx on new students the high density housing will bring to the Village.
