Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Kieth Kazmak , Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects, an architecture firm specializing in the restoration and rehabilitation of historic properties has been retained by the Village to design the restoration of the pedestrian tunnel at our train station. Repairing structural issues, ADA considerations and a new aesthetic design, including public artwork, are all part of the project. Later this year, plans will be made available for public review and feedback prior to being submitted to the NJ State Historic Preservation Office for approval.

Public art work will end up being leftist propaganda. Sell advertisements instead.
Good luck getting the urine smell out of there…
“an architecture firm specializing in the restoration and rehabilitation of historic properties “…HISTORIC??? You must be out of your mind. How much more does that cost because you consider that historic? Keep wasting taxpayer’s money…shame on you
Is the shady historic consultant involved in this project? I hope not! I am sure we have already paid him more than taxpayers would have liked, but the Mayor brought him around and he saw his pot of gold with this bunch. Supposedly he was an expert even though most of his references were negative and he misrepresented his credentials too.
A couple of gallons of paint. Done.
How about having a professional power wash company come in and really do a good cleaning for one, 2,nd have the place re-stucco and painted.
Well, since it’s a pedestrian tunnel it should be open for automobile traffic as well. Let’s not leave opportunities to run people over off the table.
ADA? It’s going to cost a lot.
