Ridgewood NJ, as previously reported by the Ridgewood blog Bagelicious is moving into its new quarters at 41 N. Broad St. under the management of a former employee, Gustavo Rosales.

“We don’t have a date yet, but we’re pretty much ready,” Rosales told NorthJersey.com on Tuesday. “We’re waiting for a gas hookup from PSE&G.”

Rosales said a bigger kitchen will allow them to offer a menu that is “a little bigger,” including hamburgers, fries and hot dogs in addition to bagels and sandwiches.

Bagelicious was at its original location on North Broad Street  for over 20 years, before a fire destroyed the building . “We wanted to stay in the neighborhood,” Rosales said.

His storefront formerly housed Mango Jam, owned by Ridgewood Guild executive director Tony Damiano. The Guild celebrated the news with a celebratory tree planting on November 18th .

  2. Back when I was coaching my kids Bagelicious was a huge sponsor for our Rec teams in multiple sports.

We should embrace their return and patronize whenever possible.

  3. Despite allegations being made publicly by both Rurik Halaby and Siobhan Winograd, the delays associated with Bagelicious’ reopening are NOT being caused by the Village’s failure to act promptly on requests being made of them by the owner/operator of Bagelicious, or his general construction contractor. Mr. Rosales is reportedly frustrated that these two individuals are attempting to politicize the reopening of Bagelicious without his consent. The delayed opening is unrelated to the Village’s permitting and inspection process. Mr. Halaby made his accusations via public comments at a meeting of the Village Council and Ms. Winograd spoke out during the recent dedication/planting of a tree in front of Bagelicious.

    1. According to Rosales its PSEG

  4. OMG. Those two need a hobby. How exhausting it must be to complain publicly about every little thing in town they disagree with. Try reading the book “ Don’t sweat the small stuff”

    Good luck to Bagelicious ownership

  5. They will do phenomenal they are deeply loved throughout the village. Good luck to them

  7. BAGEL EMPORIUM IN MIDLAND PARK
    1000% better than Bagelicious .

MP Bagel Emporium is the best bagel place in the area.

    ***** VERY IMPORTANT *****
DO NOT confuse the great “Midland Bagel Emporium” (in Midland Park)
with the horrible “Midland Park Bagels and Deli”

  8. Way better and a very large parking lot where you can park for free.
NEVER GOING BACK TO ANYTHING IN RIDGEWOOD
