Ridgewood NJ, Sample ballots arrived today in the mail. Five days remaining till election day . Every single vote counts on MAY 8TH. Polls open from 6am to 8pm .
Notice the ballot firs two spots are Harwin and Willett and then Knudsen and Sedon .
I didn’t get one.
IMPORTANT: these are NOT ballots. They are SAMPLE BALLOTS to show in advance what voters will see inside the voting booth. Do not mail them anywhere! PJ, please revise the headline and text.
Who decided the order of the candidates?
Why are Harwin and Willet listed first?
Order doesn’t matter in this election. It could matter in a Presidential election and you were running down ballot for dog catcher.
You would think anyone voting in this election was familiar with the candidates.
Top spot always gets more votes….
As I mentioned elsewhere yesterday….I am appalled at Mike Sedon calling his campaign “Ridgewood First.” Not saying Mike is embracing Lindbergh’s policies but it does seem very tone deaf to the history of Ridgewood and the use of that phrase. Really poor choice.
sounds like you are looking for cover to vote for harwin
Not this time.
7:50 – “Appalled”? Really? This is what the Harwinites have on Mike Sedon? smh.
Marshall McLuhan’s dictum states that “moral indignation is a standard strategy for endowing the idiot with dignity”. Same is true for those who are appalled with the mundane.
7:50 you must be a progressive liberal. You are all so triggered, so easily. Stop with the Trump parallels and please try to process what the intent was in using Ridgewood First. Ridgewood First means just that, Ridgewood First over the interests of developers, valley hospital, business owners, and political wannabes. He has ideas and support for issues that put Ridgewood First. Disturbing you are more upset and vocal about Ridgewood First than you are with the Hitler reference/connection to Knudsen. Really? Why?
9:24–not at all more disturbed. Deeply disturbed by both.
You can like a candidate and once in a while be objective about mistakes they make. This wasnt even Mike bashing. It was pointing something out which any student of history would know. And I wasnt even thinking Trump I was thinking Lindbergh. Just as I would be upset if a candidate used “Residents of Ridgewood Unite!” Using political slogans from abhorrent political movements is at minimum tone deaf.
I am a progressive liberal and believe that using the phrase Ridgewood First is not offensive as it is stating a fact: In a Ridgewood municipal election which is non partisan, the issues are only about Ridgewood hence Ridgewood First.
People, Harwin has a good chance. A good size of jewish residents will vote her, Aronsohn supporters will vote her, lawyers will vote her, democrats will vote her as she is the perfect leftist representative. I also think the resident base has change a lot during the past 2 years which doesn’t bode well for Susan. I would say this is 50-50 right now. Once she is in, Voigt becomes mayor and we’re history. I really hope a few democrats will open their eyes and for once vote using logic instead of ideology.
Hey Ryan . . . .most of the democrats and liberals I know (and that’s most everyone I know) are voting Knudsen/Sedon. These are local issues, not national issues and clearly, Knudsen/Sedon are the correct choice.
7:50. May as well just let us all know you’re Brian Dellatore from Facebook. I read that thread.
I didn’t comment because you coach a team my nephew is on but you really are pushing here. And it’s obvious you have a connection to the opposing candidates- I read that too- why not fully disclose you’re out saying this in a purposeful manner.
You insidious,skeptical, acrimonious specimen.
Do you mean to insinuate that I should tolerate such a rambunctious fool as you?
Why if it weren’t for the inconvenience of removing my lavender kid gloves I would slap you right across your bear wrist.
Furthermore if my vocabulary is too inconvenient for comprehension please consult a dictionary!
I love Mike, hands down, he is awesome
