The brick and mortar banks have been very important to suburban municipalities and real estate market due to their widespread locations, employment, tax payments, and rent payments. Physical banks are now in rapid decline, leaving, at most, ATMs only.
Westwood is jealous of our new garage…
Brick and mortar banks are dinosaurs.
COVID is teaching us what we no longer need.
When will Government shrink?
Government employees will ensure they have jobs. Especially given that private sector options dwindle. Gotta elect admin that is not in bed with the unions to see the difference.
OK you take care of your own garbage and recycling. You’re talking out of your ass you’re a nitwit. I pay taxes I want services.
Brivk & mortar banks are onsolete because
Old fashioned customer service is obsolete!
NOT COVID!
That bank parking lot is awful. There were only a few spots for the customers. It was also never clean or safe. Bank of America was smart to pull out.
The lot was never plowed. My father slipped and still has a soar neck. Never been back.
It was shame but the parking lot had someone sit in a chair keeping an eye on people who parked cars
in that due to the sign about no cummuter, shopping, theatre parking. Someone sitting in that chair stares at me when I was walking from the parking lot next to the theatre (with pay master)
This former Westwood branch had several name changes over the years, and maybe covid-19 changed the business. this location was always convenient for me when I lived in the town for many years until 2014 when I moved to Clifton, NJ (that only has one branch there) to live with a relative when we sold my mother’s house. I now live in MIlford, PA (when the relative in Clifton, NJ died)
Who the hell goes to a bank anymore, other than an ATM withdrawal?
