  1. Thank you for not including the cell phone video the students took of him when this happened at school. Condolences to his family.

    1. What kind of students react to the tragedy of a beloved school administrator collapsing in front of them by pulling out their cellphones to take a video? I hope the school has a plan to deal with such insensitive conduct and that parents/guardians will be notified that their children, who obviously do not know how to respond appropriately in emergency situations, would benefit from counseling. Would these students react in the same way if one of their own parents, grandparents or siblings suddenly collapsed and died in front of them? Condolences to the Pizzuto family.

  6. So many people just recently passed away unexpectedly or from “undiagnosed heart conditions” and that makes me really wonder…. Is there any other unspoken factor at play here?

  15. Hi my name is Derek King, I barely went to RHS. I dropped out freshmen year. I just found out of this unfortunate news. Basil was my favorite part of that highs school experience. He saw me for who I was and not for the frustrations I faced. He was a great man. I had drug problems in my early years and he helped me get through it. At this time he was a guidance counselor, the best I would say! Just thank you Basil for your friendship, you never giving up on me. I am now a patented inventor of many inventions. You always told me to never give up in what I believe in, that always echoed in my mind over time. Thank you, Basil, for being one of the best friends I ever had! Thank you! Rest now with God.
