HACKENSACK, NJ — Bergen County is officially ushering in new leadership for its election operations. Following confirmation by the New Jersey State Senate, Governor Mikie Sherrill’s nominee, Anthony Nicodemo, has been appointed as the new Bergen County Superintendent of Elections.
Nicodemo takes the oath of office for a term running through June 23, 2031. He succeeds Debra Francica, who served in the role since her initial appointment by former Governor Phil Murphy in 2021.
Experienced Public Leadership in Bergen County
Nicodemo brings six years of dedicated county service to the role, having previously served in Bergen County’s Department of Human Services.
“Anthony has distinguished himself through his professionalism, integrity and unwavering commitment to serving Bergen County residents,” said Derek Sands, deputy chief of staff for the county executive. “We are proud to celebrate this next chapter in his public service and know he will continue to serve the people of Bergen County with the same dedication in this important new role.”
Joining Nicodemo is Jamie H. Sheehan-Willis, who begins her second term as Deputy Superintendent of Elections. Sheehan-Willis has served the Bergen County Board of Elections since 2013 and was first appointed deputy superintendent in 2021.
Swearing-In Ceremony Details
The official swearing-in ceremony takes place at the Bergen County Administration Building in Hackensack:
-
Administering Judge: Bergen County Superior Court Judge Nicholas Ostuni administers the oath to Superintendent Anthony Nicodemo.
-
Deputy Oath: District 39 Assemblyman John Azzariti Jr. administers the oath to Deputy Superintendent Jamie H. Sheehan-Willis.
Maintaining Integrity and Modernizing Elections
The Superintendent of Elections works independently alongside Bergen County Clerk John Hogan and the Board of Elections, chaired by Richard Miller, to provide a system of checks and balances for local democracy. Key responsibilities include:
-
Enforcing New Jersey state election laws
-
Investigating voting discrepancies and irregularities
-
Overseeing voter registration operations
-
Maintaining custody of voting machines, e-poll pads, and poll books
Under outgoing Superintendent Debra Francica, Bergen County underwent a major technological modernization, replacing 30-year-old voting equipment with digital touchpads, introducing Early Voting, and deploying e-poll pads across all 70 municipalities.
Following minor delays in 2023 due to new system rollouts and poll worker shortages, county election officials streamlined voting procedures, reducing voter check-in and ballot casting times down to an efficient 39 seconds.

We’re watching you, Tony.
Now there’s a shocker, a democrat watching over the elections
This was hilarious and truly unfortunate the general public is completely unaware of what actually is transpiring. Read what it says:
{Nicodemo brings six years of dedicated county service to the role, having previously served in Bergen County’s Department of Human Services.}
What election experience?!? The man worked in HR for 6 lousy years? There’s your red flag.
The truth of the matter is this:
Sherrill is in deep, deep trouble regarding the recent exposure of rampant voter fraud in NJ. How truly massive it is and for how long. Hence inserting someone immediately to start covering it all up.
The Motor Voter Act was enacted in 1991, which specifically and intentionally stated; “No Proof of Citizenship Required When Registering to Vote! NJ has a population of over 10 million of which there are also over one million noncitizens! Although Bergen County is not the largest County in NJ it does however have the most registered voters. Almost one million. And yet Sherrill egregiously claimed only 6600 noncitizens were “accidently” registered throughout NJ of which only 400 also “accidently” voted! Do the math, only 6600 out of one million noncitizens? She lies like people breathe.
Back in 2021 when Murphy was up for re-election he pulled the same stunt. Knowing there was no way he would ever win reelection legitimately and legally given his draconian laws during Covid, he too deliberately removed the former Bergen County Superintendent of Elections who was there for over 30 years! He replaced her with Lorretta Weinberg’s Chief of staff who – just like NICODEMO had no election experience whatsoever and presto magic, Murphy prevailed and miraculously won re-election by less than 3% even though he was vehemently despised by everyone.
Sherrill is now pulling the exact same stunt. No experience? Are you kidding me? Where is the outrage but even worse, the explanation why the the original Bergen County Supt of Elections who had 30+ years of experience and also appointed by every single Governor of both parties previously, was deliberately forced into an early retirement and has since been replaced by not one but two “selected appointee’s” with absolutely no election experience whatsoever?
How much more blatant could the corruption be? Where is the media asking how someone with no experience be appointed and why? There are dozens of people in the Superintendents of Elections office with decades of actual experience and or the Board of Elections office!
Of course it has nothing whatsoever to the fact Bergen County has the most registered voters in the State, and the Superintendent is also in charge of voter registrations, poll books, machines and any and all reports of voter fraud! Or the fact NJ’s corruption is finally being exposed and Sherrill is in deep deep trouble as she was also part of all of it, winning 600,000 MORE VOTES than even Murphy in 2025.
This could have been shortened to two words: LORETTA WEINBERG.
Weinberg’s long gone! My personal opinion? This is all about securing the outcome of future elections. Most imperatively, Senate and Congress where these illegal votes matter the most. In other words, the lesser turnout election where no one pays any attention.
Nevertheless this throws an enormous spanner in the works which is why Sherrill is apoplectic. What will they do sans those tens of thousands of fraudulent votes, having already made future plans based on the assured results?
So instead they insert a dupe with no experience who will abide by whatever he’s instructed to do. I hope he realizes tampering with anything related to an election is a federal offense.
Also involved in redistricting a strong R district to D (also stands for Dwarf).
I have no idea who she is? care to elucidate why you name her?
