HACKENSACK, NJ — Bergen County is officially ushering in new leadership for its election operations. Following confirmation by the New Jersey State Senate, Governor Mikie Sherrill’s nominee, Anthony Nicodemo, has been appointed as the new Bergen County Superintendent of Elections.

Teaneck NJ, a Bergen County from Teaneck man has filed lawsuits against boards of elections in two New Jersey counties, claiming they have refused his OPRA requests to view ballot test reports used to determine the logic and accuracy of voting machines.

October 4 filing deadline for the special election for Bergen Sheriff

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Clerk John Hogan has set an October 4 filing deadline for the special election for Sheriff.

Democrats and Republicans will have until 10 AM that morning to file their candidates. Independent candidates will have the same deadline to submit petitions with 100 signatures.
Bergen County will hold off on mailing new vote-by-mail requests until after October 4. Attorneys are still reviewing whether voters who come to the County Clerk’s office between now and the new filing deadline will be able to vote.
