Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco met with CBS New York to discuss New York’s congestion pricing scheme and the County’s decision to join the State of New Jersey’s Congestion Pricing Lawsuit.
Tedesco said,” The Board of Commissioners and I believe that New York’s congestion pricing scheme is a selfish money grab that does not consider the negative impact it will have on the communities neighboring Manhattan- especially Bergen County. That is why the County has filed to join the State of New Jersey’s Congestion Pricing Lawsuit. The interests of our residents and businesses remain our top priority, and the County will continue to advocate for fair and transparent solutions that do not compromise the well-being of our seventy communities.”
This money grab by New York is an attempt to address years of mismanagement of the MTA at the detriment of Bergen County residents that does not consider the negative impacts it will have on the communities neighboring Manhattan.
The interests of our residents and businesses remain our top priority, and the County will continue to advocate for fair and transparent solutions for our communities.
