Lyndhurst NJ, The sky is no longer the limit for public safety in New Jersey. Recently, at the Bergen County Public Safety Operations Center, a significant milestone was reached in local emergency response.

The Bergen County Office of Emergency Management (OEM), in partnership with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, officially hosted the inaugural meeting of the Bergen County Drone Task Force. This gathering marks a new era of high-tech coordination designed to keep residents safer through advanced aerial intelligence.


Innovation in the Air: Why Drones Matter

The meeting brought together a powerhouse of local talent, including law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency management offices from across the county. The primary goal? Creating a unified front in drone technology.

This specialized vehicle serves as a hub for drone pilots, providing real-time data streaming and a centralized “eye in the sky” for complex tactical operations. Agencies from across the county had the opportunity to tour the unit, sparking inspiration for future regional equipment standards.
