BERGEN COUNTY TO HOST GROUNDBREAKING FOR ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION OF WILD DUCK POND IN SADDLE RIVER COUNTY PARK

Ridgewood NJ, a ceremony to mark the start of an ecological restoration project at the Wild Duck Pond in Saddle River County Park. The project scope includes replacing the pond liner and implementing stormwater best management practices, which will restore the pond’s wetlands and further support native wildlife. Funding for the restoration project comes from the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund and a grant from NJ Green Acres.

  1. How about restoring some water feed from the Saddle River?

  2. Lots of earth moving already going on there…looks like 2 walking paths were built extending back through the woods to Linwood Avenue.

  3. What could possibly go wrong?? The last time they ‘restored’ the pond, it stopped holding water for 10 years.

  4. I walk along the saddle River every day throughout Ridgewood and yest Bergen county needs to clean it up
