Bergen Municipalities Continue to Debate Impact of Cannabis Businesses in Their Jurisdictions

Oakland NJ, a year after the borough of Oakland  said yes to non-retail cannabis businesses in designated zones, it’s having second thoughts. Council members are talking of possibly repealing three ordinances passed last year as soon as Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two years after Englewood’s City Council voted to ban all cannabis businesses, officials are reopening the conversation and beginning to study the potential impact of allowing retail marijuana sales.

  1. That might be a more successful business idea for bored RICH AND STUPID soccer moms than children’s clothing boutiques or food distribution establishments for which they have no experience.

    Of course, they could also run for council.

  2. Hey, it’s totally legal now, it’s going to generate a lot of money. What do you think? Liquor stores don’t cause a problem.
