Glen Rock NJ, on October 24th at 9:04 p.m. a Glen Rock couple reported that they attempted to purchase a puppy through a breeder advertising online through familybichonfirse.com, which appeared to be a legitimate company. They provided a $300 deposit through cashapp and drove to the breeders purported place of business in Williamson, NY. When they arrived, they found that the address was a private residence, where no puppies were being offered for sale. The resident informed them that they were not the first people who showed up at their home looking to pick up a puppy.
According to the NY State Police, who provide law enforcement services to Williamson NY, there have been multiple reports made to them. The matter has been referred to the detective bureau which is following up with the NY State Police concerning any ongoing investigation.
