Vaporizers are typically cartridges containing oil and a heating element you attach to a separate battery for power, but also come in all-in-one disposables.  They are perceived as a healthier alternative to smoking, as well as more convenient, portable and discrete than smoking flower.
5. Concentrates: As the name suggests, these are highly concentrated forms of cannabis best saved for expert users or medical patients requiring a high dosage. They come in various textures and are much more potent than flower. Examples include hash, kief, shatter, wax, and rosin.  These are most often smoked, but in some forms, are eaten with food.
6. Topicals: These are cannabis-infused lotions, balms, and oils applied directly to the skin for localized relief. They are great for addressing pain or inflammation and typically don’t produce a “high”.
