Ridgewood NJ, Billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman has distanced himself from the Democratic Party, citing his disapproval of what he perceives as “racist” diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Ackman, once a Bill Clinton Democrat, voiced his discontent, describing the party’s transformation into “woke martyrs” as something he no longer wishes to be associated with. In a recent CNBC interview, Ackman announced plans to establish a think tank dedicated to scrutinizing higher education in the U.S., prompted by his success in pressuring the resignation of Harvard president Claudine Gay.

Ackman has been a vocal critic of Harvard, accusing the institution of inadequately protecting Jewish students from antisemitism and challenging their adoption of diversity and inclusion programs that, according to him, undermine meritocracy. In response to these issues, he revealed his intention to create a dynamic team, complete with a CEO and board of directors, to actively address these concerns.

Describing it as a “think-and-do tank,” Ackman outlined the organization’s mission to study these issues thoroughly and develop and implement effective solutions. He believes this proactive approach is essential in combating problems he perceives in higher education.

Previously, Ackman took to social media to assert that Harvard’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policies are the “root cause of antisemitism” at the prestigious university. He criticized the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) movement as contributing to divisiveness and fostering resentment, identifying it as a significant driver of racism.

In a detailed post, Ackman called for the resignation of Harvard Corporation Board members who supported Claudine Gay, holding them responsible for the damage done. Additionally, he is supporting four alums running for Harvard’s board of overseers on a platform that includes protecting free speech, preventing student bullying, and addressing financial mismanagement.

Acknowledging the need for change at Harvard, Ackman, who has donated around $50 million to the institution, emphasized that supporting these candidates could serve as a catalyst for positive transformation within the university’s governance.

    1. Nonsense. Look again. DEI was a wonderful tool for people like Ackman until the protected classes started turning their anger against people like Ackman. That’s his only concern.

I agree 100%. Where was Ackman until now and after poring billions into these crooked institutions? Too little, too late. It is over.
