Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police reminder to remove all ice and snow from your vehicle before driving, especially from the hood, windows and roof. It’s the law in New Jersey! Motorists who fail to do so face fines of $25 to $75 for each offense, regardless of whether the ice and snow is dislodged from the vehicle.
Ho-Ho-Kus Police also chimed in, please be reminded that NJ Statute 39:4-77.1 requires drivers of all motor vehicles (commercial and non-commercial) operated on any roadway in the state to make all reasonable efforts to remove accumulated snow and ice from exposed surfaces of motor vehicles prior to their operation.

Another Wednesday…..what stupid shit with Pee Wee and team come up with tonight….?
It’s unreasonable to assume that one can take reasonable steps to remove snow/ice from their car when they also can’t be bothered to fully defrost their windows before taking off. So, good luck with that.
A ridgewood resident was actually killed on rt. 17 a few years ago when ice slid a tractor trailer and went through his windshield.
This is correct, the family is still lives in the area. Really not stupid sh-t
how about we start actually fining people, and include those who don’t shovel their sidewalks too.
