Brooklyn Man Charged with Witness Tampering in Bergen County

Hackensack NJ , Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JEROME W. HARRIS (DOB: 11/20/1986; single; owner of a publishing company) of 9424 Skidmore Avenue, Brooklyn, NY on a charge of witness tampering. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and Bergen County Sheriff’s Department under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Bergen County Prosecutor Office detectives observed JEROME W. HARRIS video-recording a witness in an attempt to intimidate them from giving testimony in a trial. An investigation was initiated by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, JEROME W. HARRIS was arrested and charged with third-degree witness tampering, N.J.S.A. 2C:28-5a(2). He was transported to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
