Fort lee NJ, last week, the brother of actor Jason Patric tragically passed away after being struck and killed by a New Jersey transit bus while crossing a street, as confirmed by authorities.
Jordan Andrew Miller, aged 56 and residing in Fort Lee, lost his life just after 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Reports indicate that Miller was crossing Bridge Plaza South when the bus driver attempted a turn at the same intersection.
Despite efforts to provide CPR at the scene, Miller sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after at Englewood Hospital, as reported by the news station. Fortunately, no passengers were onboard the bus during the incident, and the 60-year-old driver emerged unharmed.
Fort Lee detectives, in collaboration with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, are actively investigating the crash.
Miller, Jason Patric, and their older sister, Jennifer Miller, are the offspring of actor and playwright Jason Miller, renowned for his role as Father Damien Karras in “The Exorcist.” Their mother, Linda Gleason Miller, is the daughter of the legendary actor and comedian Jackie Gleason.
Jordan Miller’s obituary reveals that he dedicated 13 years to working as a customer service representative for the NY/NJ Port Authority. An avid runner, he completed 13 consecutive New York City marathons, earning him admiration from his family, who expressed in the obituary that he will be greatly missed.
Jason Patric is celebrated for his performances in films such as “The Lost Boys,” “Rush,” and “Speed 2.”
