Inside Small Art Exhibit Challenges 50 Artists

Ridgewood NJ , Discover the beauty inside small! Curator, Lisa D’Amico is excited to announce the fourth installment of her now annual juried small works exhibition, this year at The Stable Gallery, 259 N. Maple Ave., Ridgewood, New Jersey. Inside Small will be on view from August 2 through August 29, 2019. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, August 8th from 7pm to 9pm.

Valley Hospital Patient Claims $6700 worth of Jewelry Missing

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Ridgewood Police department over $6,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a woman while she was a patient at Valley Hospital .

The Victim a from Wyckoff claims that $6,700 worth of jewelry was stolen from her personal belongings when she was a patient at on June 18th.

The theft was reported several days later to Ridgewood Police on June 24.

Local Businesses Checks Stolen from Ridgewood Post Office

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Ridgewood Police an Oak Street business reported that over $11,000 in checks were stolen from mail at the Ridgewood Post Office.

The business reported the checks were stolen from an envelope that was mailed at the post office at June 24.

The business reported mailing the checks and in a short time, the checks were cashed by someone other than the intended recipient.

July 4th Ridgewood Emergency Service

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services had its full complement of volunteer members, equipment and assisting agencies to ensure the safety of those attending the morning July 4^th Parade and the evening Fireworks. According to Acting Chief Ryan Savaria, the officers start planning for the day’s events immediately at the conclusion of this year’s events. “Starting with an after-action report of the event, we evaluate the activity, look at best practices and where we can improve.” “There are lessons learned at every incident”. We take these lessons and implement corrective actions for subsequent events.

Each year, the Fourth of July Celebration Committee chooses a theme that celebrates a certain aspect of American history or culture. The theme also serves as the basis for the float competition held among the town’s elementary schools.

The 2019 celebration theme as “ALL-AMERICAN SUMMER.” The theme aims to celebrate all things summer in America – backyard barbeques, baseball games, outdoor concerts, camping, fairs, cross country road trips, or driving to the Jersey shore – we all have a favorite!

Ridgewood Police are Looking for Driver Who Left the Scene of an Accident With Bicyclist

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood police Department is looking for the driver of a landscaping truck who took off Saturday after a 12-year-old girl on her bicycle struck the vehicle after it stopped short.

The girl was treated for minor injuries at Valley Hospital and released. The crash happened in the vicinity of the intersection of North Irving Street and East Ridgewood Avenue.The Ridgewood police are looking for a white pickup truck had a green landscaping trailer.

The Ridgewood Police Department asks anyone who might have seen something or has information that can help identify the driver is asked to contact Ridgewood PD: (201) 652-3900 .

Forbes Names Valley Health One of New Jersey’s Top Employers

Ridgewood NJ, Valley Health System has been named to Forbes’ inaugural list of Best-in-State Employers. The list, which was released today, includes only 72 employers in the state of New Jersey and only eight hospitals or health systems.
