Reader Blames Current Council for the Elks club purchase, the library’s proposed “beautification” and the throwing away money on the useless Schedler house reconstruction

” This Council has been totally responsible for the purchase of the Elks club, the library’s proposed “beautification” and the throwing away of massive amounts of money on the totally useless Schedler house reconstruction. And, if they had deigned to side with the citizens of the Village’s suit, they would have been able to put some reasonable halts to the over construction agreed on by the previous Council. They have happily been tossing money around as frequently as the prior Council while saying “they were doing the will of the people” which is just one of their many fabrications as to why things are being done that have clearly been opposed by the current residents of Ridgewood. “

” Those who still do not understand what is happening to RW are too naive or to put it in better terms idiots. Open your eyes and see what monsters are being built right in CBD. This is just the beginning. More will spread out all over town. Have you noticed how much of RW tree inventory has been depleted the past year? Have you noticed the monstrosity going on on the other side of RT 17? I really hate how this VC is treating us on this. What vision feedback are they asking for from residents? Their plans are being implemented already. Why do they insult us this way? They don’t care about our opinion, they just see us as cash cows for town’s coffers. We have no say in anything. And if some of us can’t take this and decide to leave RW, so what? Some other NY transplants will replace us and the tax $$$ will continue pouring in. Forget your village, this is a town transitioning into a small city. Think Hackensack, Montclair etc. And for all the bullshit about plastic bags, plastic straws and other feel good campaigns , the fact that trees are being cut in volumes just goes to show the hypocrisy. It is all about business and political power. “

Ridgewood Library Reimagine : Layaway plan

70338290 10156851954321378 1456572359539425280 n

by Steve Kim

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Library Reimagine is a form of layaway plan to the scale of 8,000,000 dollars.

Village guarantees the project cost and Library then pays as it can without specific time guidelines. Holy moly!

There is no intent or plans to raise sufficient donations in advance of the project start. And as I noted, the chances of Ridgewood getting the full or any amount of the to be applied NJ Library grant isn’t good.

Let’s wake up here because Village (we) can be on the hook for a lot for the visions of few. Time for a serious reality check.

Reader says ,” this place is gonna look like Hackensack”

Sealfons-rendering

” It’s amazing how so many individuals are so arrogant. How they think they can just walk off the sidewalk into a road without looking how stupid can you be. You got to be the biggest Dummy too do that. That’s for the walkers. For the drivers speed limit should be changed in the CBD. It should be 15 mph. And the damn New Jersey transit buses should not utilize Ridgewood Avenue at all. Let them Use Franklin Ave., Maple Avenue, maybe move the bus station This is not going to work when all these apartment buildings are done we are just too congested. If you think people are getting hit now you just wait and see you have buildings being built right on top of the road on Broad Street Chestnut St., Franklin Avenue and then Maple and Ridgewood Avenue. This place is gonna look like Hackensack. “

“These pathetic little groups of usually 12/20 people continue (as evidenced here ) to broadcast their narrative of anything “Trump negative “ and as such the fake news is more than happy to oblige. The only thing that gets accomplished here is that these far left emotionally disturbed fruit cakes continue to widen the divide within their own party and are only making it that much easier for Trump in 2020. This is how stupid these people are thinking that impeachment is actually going to happen regardless of what their own party bosses are trying to tell them….It’s not going to happen. Get a grip on reality”

Ridgewood NJ, a three judge appellate court panel has affirmed the 2017 ruling in favor of the three municipalities in their suit against Ridgewood Water for excessive rate hikes during the 2010 -2012 time period .

It is however very unclear if rate payers will receive any relief . The appellate court confirmed the factual findings made by the original judge Perez-Friscia stating they were supported by substantial credible evidence.

Reader suggests ,”feel free to drive on over there during the night and take these people to your home for food and shelter. Of course you won’t. It’s something “we” should do”

“Please feel free to drive on over there during the night and take these people to your home for food and shelter. Of course you won’t. It’s something “we” should do. For someone who is retired, I find it remarkable you’ve made it so far and haven’t figured out life’s issues. Yes, there will always be people who fall through the cracks and if we lived in a perfect world, where everyone did their best, was honest, and tried their hardest, we probably could solve all these problems. If Ridgewood started a program to help these people, do you have any idea just how many more would flock here knowing that there’s free stuff to be had? Sorry buddy, but life is a little competitive and it’s that way for a good reason. White privilege guilt is already becoming way too much of a thing with Liberals.”
