In a market where many homes easily sell for more than $1 million, a fixer-upper starting around $700,000 can look like a rare opportunity. The appeal is obvious. A lower purchase price leaves room to renovate, customize, and potentially build value over time. The important part is knowing where renovation dollars are best spent before the work begins.

The Invisible Drain: The Home Office Habit Causing Burnout

Screenshot 2026 05 28 083821

The promise of the work-from-home revolution was rooted in balance. We envisioned mornings without stressful highway traffic, more time spent with family, and a healthier lifestyle cultivated from the comfort of our own homes. Yet, several years into the widespread adoption of remote work, a contrasting reality has emerged. Instead of feeling liberated, millions of remote professionals are experiencing a profound, chronic level of exhaustion.

When remote workers experience burnout, they often point their fingers at heavy workloads, demanding clients, or relentless back-to-back video calls. While those factors certainly play a role, expert workspace psychologists point to a much closer, deeply ingrained culprit: a toxic behavioral habit built directly into the setup of our home environments. The single most dangerous home office habit causing burnout is the failure to physically and visually close the door on the workday.

Why Mileage Isn’t Always the Best Indicator of a Good Used Car

Screenshot 2026 05 28 105148

When consumers search for a pre-owned vehicle, the mileage is frequently one of the first things they check. Consumers often believe that a vehicle with a lower mileage is likely to have fewer mechanical problems than a vehicle with a greater mileage. While mileage can offer valuable insight into how much a vehicle was used, it should not be the only variable used to determine the actual worth or dependability of a car.

Nevertheless, a vehicle’s condition is dependent on several other factors, including the maintenance history, the driving habits, and the general upkeep of the vehicle. Some vehicles with lower mileage may have been sitting idle too frequently leading to potential hidden issues, whereas a vehicle with greater mileage that has been routinely maintained will likely perform well for many years. Both consumers and sellers must understand these variances to assist the buyer in making informed decisions and the seller to present the vehicle properly in the marketplace.

What Happened To the Founding Fathers?

Screenshot 2026 05 28 121811

When most people picture the Founding Fathers, they think of powdered wigs, dramatic paintings, and serious-looking men staring out from old history books. Somehow, over time, these figures became less like actual people and more like permanent American symbols.

Today, their faces appear everywhere, on currency, monuments, souvenirs, and even patriotic fashion like a classic Navy hat. However, what’s often forgotten is that the Founding Fathers didn’t simply vanish after the Revolutionary War ended. This guide explores what happened to them after they made their mark on American history.
