Ridgewood Nj, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark, the Village broke ground on the Veterans Field field lighting project. The project is a collaboration between the Parks & Recreation Department, Engineering and the Signal Division. Musco Lighting, the standard in the industry for sports field lighting, is the contracted vendor. The original lights were installed in the 1980’s. The upgraded lights will have LED technology, wil be directional and will reduce glare and spillage to neighboring properties. The project will light diamond sports fields for the first time ever in Ridgewood and will eliminate the need for portable lights, which rely on generator power. The new lighting should be completed for the Spring ‘25 season.
