Ridgewood NJ, Dr. Michael Martin, president of the Virginia chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, pleaded with the legislature in Richmond to open all schools in the state. Dr. Martin noted that the Virginia AAP surveyed its member pediatricians and found:
97% reported an increase in anxiety
95% reported an increase in depression
87% reported an increase in behavioral problems
84% reported an increase in obesity
“We have clear data-driven evidence of an alarming decline in the mental, behavioral, academic, and general well-being of the children we care for in Virginia. Returning to in-person learning with well-thought mitigation strategies which we have laid out since the fall is the best prescription for our children as they continue to suffer.”
Tell that to double mask-wearing (outdoors!) crowd. They’ve found a thrill of “dangerous living” in Covid to contrast their otherwise rich and boring lives. They won’t want to go back to pre-mask days. Otherwise how would they justify their antisocial, patronizing behavior? For them, demonstrating their intellectual superiority and ethical fitness is impossible without Covid. After all, global warming is just too distant and screwing up race relations has already been accomplished.
Let’s run this by the “doctors” or the NEA….
After all, they selflessly sacrifice “fer da kidz”.
Yes that’s all well and good that they’re going to open up the schools. But parents need to stop sending their kids to school when they are sick. Because then my kid gets sick brings at home and gets me sick. Same thing with managers to tell their employees if you’re sick please stay home do not come to work. But the problem is some employees are ass kissers,
