Panelists and guests will be welcomed by Peter P. Mercer, president, Ramapo College.
The panel discussion will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., followed by tea and cookies. Admission is free. Everyone interested in educating our youth is welcome to attend. The Centennial Celebration is a partnership between Ramapo College, College Club, and the panelists, all of whom are dedicated to encouraging the pursuit of a higher education among today’s high school girls. College Club is comprised of members from 40 surrounding northern New Jersey communities who are college graduates committed to making possible an advanced education for many young women through a grants-in-aid program and a student loan fund. Founded in 1913 by a group of young college graduates who hoped to fund a woman’s college, the club has provided over 3.5 million dollars in grants and loans to women for their education.
