Ridgewood Nj, Only the terms of the mediated settlement between Valley Hospital and the Planning Board is known at this moment and Ms. Hauck had nothing to do with that negotiation. It was PB Chairman Nalbantian and Vice Chairman Joel.

Ms Hauck and Ms. Knudsen are the two VC members negotiating Valley Hospital’s suit against the Village Council. We understand that a court date is set for early May. At that time we will know more about that case.

In the meantime, CRR has not stopped their efforts and are encouraging people to show up to Monday’s PB meeting. They are also working on educating a whole new group of younger parents that are less familiar with this issue. 1. Anyone with pre-school or school age children living on the east side of town, and within walking distance of Travell, Somerville, BF or Ridgewood H.S., should be paying very close attention to what is going on with this proposal. If one of the primary reasons you move to Ridgewood is for the schools, why the hell would you not be involved in stopping something like this ?

  2. The courts are going to allow the construction so the only question is do I want the construction to impact my 1st grader or my 2 yearold. One of them will be going to Middle School while construction is occurring. The question is only which one.

  3. Well, the jury is rigged on this one based on the judge’s comments and mandate… but there’s still room to squeeze out more if people are up to the challenge.

  4. We need to do the same for the younger voters on why Bernie Sanders and his socialistic plans are bad.

  5. The council will still have to vote on master plan changes and ordinances. The planning Boatd only serves in an advisory manner. They cannot make law.

  6. Linda-So will the PB vote on this, or just “advise?”

  7. The Planning Board will vote on whether to pass this new 2016 MPA to the VC to write the ordinance. If the PB votes “no” the case will most likely go back to the courts, as VH has no conscience and prefers to keep suing the village rather than sit down and negotiate with the residents. Which is fine by me, because at this point, I wouldn’t give VH a single square foot more than they already have…on principle alone! Karma’s a bitch!

  8. Thank you. The bottom line is a vote for expansion is a vote to destroy this town. With what they want to become they should be looking to relocating in Paramus or Mahwah.
