Pre-election Winograd promised a youth athletic field and walking path at Schedler Park. At the last Village Council Meeting, Post election Winograd announced her plan to level Schedler Park with a massive adult 90ft field, permanent lights and the largest netting possible.

So in a nut shell, Siobhan is reverting back to selling a public park to the highest bidder (private, for profit, sports groups). Screw the residents and previous administration who agreed on a plan for the greater good of the public.
Watch the video, look at the plans. When it’s all said and done, the 7 acre “park” will have 20 trees, lots of concrete and wall to wall plastic flooring. TRASH 😳
She’s shooting herself in the foot. The plans she is asking for requires a NJ State approval similar to seeking a variance. This also opens the door for all public to attend (not just Ridgewood) and voice their concerns. At that level, the 90ft idea was defeated in the past and will be again. Keep dragging the process.

Her dumb idea will drag the project on for years only to be rejected. Be smart Siobhan, let the current plan proceed. We could have a park by summer, just in time for the next school year.. The Village said the current plan could be completed in 140 days.
Find out who’s on the state historic commission and start writing letters.

Winograd also ran on the platform “Quality and Transparency of Communications. Ridgewood residents value information and facts when making decisions about the future of our village.”
She omitted unless it’s something her special interests groups want. Then, residents are intentionally left out and their decision making voided.
The new mayor and council need to put more effort and energy into making sure our roads are maintained better. Because in the past year, they look terrible. They are filthy, and there are bottles everywhere. There’s no excuse for this, especially when we have so far and extremely warm winter . why aren’t the sweepers out on weekends today on Saturday we have temperatures over 50° for the end of January is extremely rare. They should be taking a vantage of the weather. I know excuses excuses.
Don’t forget to include pickelball courts in the plans for the Schedler property!

I cant even see the RWMD FB page. I’ve been completely blocked and it doesn’t even show up in my searches as an existing page. cannot even ask to rejoin despite being thrown off many years ago. Siobhan really sucks.
