the staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, thanks to our pedestrian safety activist Frank Geraghty for pointing out my suggestion to have dangerous sign removed from near center of sidewalk to curb located on Broad street near East Ridgewood avenue. The sign was removed today and a base for new sign placed just where he suggested at Kiosk, probably saving some weekend reveler from getting a dislocated shoulder.
Also, just around the corner on East Ridgewood avenue a blank sign that I also complained about which confused motorists was also removed today and replaced by a plastic cone. Hopefully a badly needed YIELD SIGN that I called for will be placed at that spot soon.

See, you can fight City Hall !
The pictured gets more comical by the minute.
– What are the three mini cones protecting a nub of a sign?
-Why not take down the sign and erect anotherr at the same time?
– A double meter head right in front of a parking kiosk, which of the two do I pay?
-Ugly, peeling, curling stickers on parking kiosks and throughout CBD-staring workers in the face.
-Work Crew can’t address all of the above at one time? Well, then again, given the craftsmanship of the dangerous sign…
Dear Village Manager, do you believe in disciplinary actions?
Who is “I”?
Good work. Too bad paid employees can’t do it.
These kiosks are a pain all around! Takes a few minutes just to work them and sometimes the key pads don’t work. Let’s go back to old school and bring back meters!! 2secs to drop coins in and on our way
“Takes a few minutes just to work them and sometimes the key pads don’t work”
Think of the poor meter maintenance person trying to figure out a way to steal from them. Was much easier with the old coin system.
Screw ups , so stupid who put it at that location. No thinking.
Who is over looking the
Department of public works. Well Mr. manager it’s not working .we feel that you need to get involved on day to day operations. The changes need to be made. extremely poor morale. Extremely poor communication.
