Deadline to File For Ridgewood Village Council Run is August 22, 2024

Ridgewood NJ, Nominating packets are available for Ridgewood residents who are registered voters and wish to run for and serve on the Ridgewood Village Council. They may be picked up at the Village Clerk’s Office in Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The deadline for filing completed nominating petitions, as well as additional election forms, is August 22, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

This year, there are three positions, with four-year terms, to serve on the nonpartisan Village Council, which will be voted on at the November 5, 2024 Municipal Election, during the General Election. The newly elected councilmembers will be sworn in and take office in January 2025.

  1. I will take anyone but Vagianos, Perron and Frank the 2 faced Bee Man is just another check the box along with Whino and Waste. It is a sad day when this is the best we can do. We need the right person and I hope she wins.

  2. the process and application was open the 1st week of June but no comms were sent out or posted on the website to inform the public until the week after July 4th. so the mayor and bee dude had one full mth to get the docs together. needing 225 signatures to complete the petition/app seems a little easier during the mth of June as kids are still in school, etc vs the vacation mths of July and August.

    hmm who runs the town and is responsible for ensuring the process is equally fair to all residents?
