  1. What the hell we can’t function when there’s a tiny bit of snow?

    1. Of course not! Can’t you hear them now? “Oh, but the roads!” “Oh, but the safety!” “Won’t anyone think of the children?”

But at this point, what does it matter? Half the time they don’t do squat at school anyway; or they start late because the teacher called out for trauma time because they overhead someone misgendering someone’s dog on the street the day before; or they end early because it’s national-paint-a-police-cruiser-pink day. Any excuse to do nothing.

    2. NO.
We need to run out and get milk and toilet paper!

  2. It’s amazing, 4 inches of snow. What would happen if they get 3 feet of snow

    1. 2 inches is the new 3 feet.

When I was in school, you needed at least 12 inches before they would even consider closing schools.

    2. it’s more like 2″ of snow???

      1. actually < 2 inches of accumulation.

  3. Get a grip people!

  4. It’s embarrassing, years ago this would’ve never happened. This is what happens when you have all new staffing with less experience in handling situations like this. It’s just ridiculous. These newbies have no business being working in so trucks plow trucks, they’re just like la la la la la we don’t care.

  5. This storm is a joke. What a tease.

  6. Could be the icy driving and walking conditions rather than the depth of snowfall that was of concern.

    1. Yaktrax aren’t that expensive………………………

  7. We were SUCCESSFULLY navigating 6+ inches of snow on poorly plowed roads in Rear-Wheel-Drive cars on Bias Ply Tires with NO computer driving aids like traction control.

Today, schools are closed when there is a dusting of snow because people can’t navigate “Plowed to the Blacktop” roads in their Four-Wheel Drive trucks equipped with all sorts of traction and navigation aids on state of the art “Winter Tires”.

    Pathetic.

  8. So many “In my day ….” comments. Grandpa energy is strong here.
