Ridgewood NJ, a new Quinnipiac poll reveals a troubling reality for the Democratic Party—just 31% of voters have a favorable opinion of them, compared to 43% for Republicans. This follows a New York Times poll that found voters’ top concerns are:
✅ The economy
✅ Inflation
✅ Immigration
Yet, Democrats remain laser-focused on abortion, LGBTQ rights, and climate change—issues that, while important, don’t align with what most voters care about.
Can Democrats Return to a Prosperity Agenda?
There was a time when Democrats championed economic growth for all. In the 1990s, after three consecutive presidential losses, centrist leaders like Robert Rubin launched the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) to steer the party away from radical leftist policies. The result?
🚀 Bill Clinton won two elections as a pro-growth, free-trade, and welfare-reform Democrat.
If Democrats want to regain voter trust, they need to return to a pro-growth, middle-class-focused agenda.
Instead, Democrats Double Down on Extremism
Unfortunately, the party doesn’t seem to be learning its lesson. On Saturday, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) elected Ken Martin—a progressive activist from Minnesota—as its new chairman.
Martin has:
- Advocated for higher taxes on the rich
- Called for putting Trump “on trial for treason”
The three new vice chairs are just as extreme:
🔴 David Hogg – A 24-year-old climate activist who supports defunding the police and abolishing federal immigration agencies.
🔴 Malcolm Kenyatta – A left-wing politician who wants to pack the U.S. Supreme Court with four new justices, calling it the only way to overturn the “illegitimate” conservative majority.
Will Democrats Course Correct?
The party has a choice:
1️⃣ Return to a winning economic message, focusing on jobs, wages, and prosperity like Clinton did.
2️⃣ Continue embracing far-left policies that alienate swing voters and the working class.
If the latest DNC leadership picks are any indication, Democrats still don’t get it—and that could cost them in 2024 and beyond.
💬 What do you think? Should Democrats shift their focus back to economic growth, or double down on progressive policies? Let us know in the comments!
