No Inclusion whenit comes to Democrat Decision Makers

Trenton NJ, according to Assemblywomen Holly Schepisi, Today Assemblyman Jamel Holley, a Democratic member of the Legislature, made a motion for an amendment to the proposed $9.9 BILLION debt bill to add Black and Latino representation to a “Select Committee” which will have unilateral power to issue this debt.
Under the legislation, this Committee currently has only 4 appointed members of the Legislature. It has full power to authorize the Governor to issue up to $9.9 BILLION in debt. There is no process for public hearings, there is no process for public comment, there is no transparency and no parameters about how the decision to issue this debt will be made in the future.
None of these 4 appointed members are Republican Legislators or members of the Black Caucus. A Democratic member of the Legislature expressed his significant concerns regarding the lack of diversity on this Committee which will unilaterally determine the financial future of the State. He put forth an amendment seeking fair representation on this committee. Every Republican Legislator voted to support the amendment seeking fair representation on this “Committee of 4” proposed by our Democratic colleague. Every Democratic member voted Yes to stop Assemblyman Holley’s request for fair representation.
I remember being a little boy riding the bus and seeing that card sign at back of the bus. Not to be a wise ass but that was the best spot on the bus because it was big it ran along the back of the bus. And on a hot summer day with the windows down guess what you got all the breeze. And you could see everything. So everyone who set up in the front they thought they were having a better ride they were so wrong. And it was always a door in the back anyway. Some people are so stupid
