  1. Sell that useless dump. Get it on the tax rolls

  2. Move some of the high density housing out of the downtown. Two story townhouses would be appropriate for the neighborhood. They are right by a main road.

  3. This Council or at lest 3 of them are writing check that we the taxpayers will be pay for the next 20years. They will be long gone.

  4. The house would require a fortune to make it physically useable. Even having it declared of historic value would not eliminate the need to make it handicapped accessible. It is typical of old houses; each addition is on a slightly different level. In addition, the property is unusable at the present time. West Saddle River Road is so narrow that it cannot be striped into 2 lanes. Parking can only be on one side but even that makes the road almost too narrow to navigate. esp. for a fire truck. The property has Rt 17N as its outer edge and is not separated from it by any barrier walls. Egress and access roads would have to be on Rt 17N if it were to be used for high density housing. And, the local grade school has been closed for years. Children are being bussed across town to Hawes. Hawes is so crowded that our new neighbors’ kindergarden child is going to be bussed to yet another school. Where would the inevitable children go to school?

  5. 10:11 am is right sell the eyesore to a private developer and have a tax paying home or business.

  6. Bring back the Baseball field plan.

  7. UPDATE: Village Council predicted to vote 3-2 on 8/12 to demolish Schedler House to facilitate construction of a 90 foot baseball field with concession stand.

Despite voting in support of spending up to $500k in “preliminary costs” for the design of a parking garage with a currently unknown shape, size, and final cost, the nitwits Aronsohn and Hauck object to spending $45k to save the Schedler House. Pucciarelli is on his honeymoon, so he wasn’t there to make a fool of himself too.

So there you have it folks. The Three Stooges will have one of the most historic buildings in Northwest Bergen County demolished just to secure the Sports Council votes next year.
