Ridgewood NJ, The uninjured adult female driver of a white colored BMW SUV was taken into custody by Ridgewood Police after crashing the vehicle into a tree on Pine Street, Ridgewood early Thursday afternoon, 08/16. Ridgewood EMS evaluated the driver for injuries before several police officers placed her in handcuffs and escorted her to the back seat of a waiting patrol vehicle. Ridgewood Fire Department EMTs responded to assist the ambulance driver. The vehicle was impounded and removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Police officers at the scene did not comment as to why an arrest was made.

She really is a piece of work. This is a neighborhood with kids and old people and young people and dogs. What the F???
It is amazing to realize that any random car passing by on a beautiful day, mid day, could be driven by someone who for a variety of reasons cannot control the car. Really frightening. So when out for a walk, be aware, if a car is coming down the street it might just be heading right toward you. Something for those who are glued to their phone screens to think about.
