Englewood NJ, authorities in Englewood reported that a woman is unharmed after being trapped in her car, which partially went over an embankment on Saturday. The incident prompted a response from the police to a parking lot on Engle Street at approximately 2:20 p.m., according to a Facebook post from the Englewood Fire Department. The car was found hanging off a wall, pointed downward, and the front had broken a fence. Although the scene appeared dramatic in photos, Fire Chief Jeff Kaplan confirmed that the woman did not sustain major injuries.
3rd Platoon Firefighters responded to Engle Street this afternoon for a vehicle over an embankment with the driver trapped in the car. Members used Paratech struts to stabilize the front of the car, while a winch and straps from the rescue truck were used to stabilize the rear of the car. The driver was removed and evaluated by Englewood Health EMS with minor injuries.
