Man Stabbed Near JoJo’s Bar & Grill Early Sunday Morning in Garfield

Garfield NJ, in the early hours of Sunday morning, Garfield police discovered a man stabbed in the vicinity of JoJo’s Bar & Grill, as reported by authorities. Responding to the incident at 131 Monroe St. around 12:45 a.m., police found a 31-year-old male with apparent stab wounds to his torso. Subsequently, the victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center. A collaborative investigation is currently underway, led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Garfield Police Department.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announces the following information:

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Garfield Police Department are investigating a stabbing that occurred outside of 131 Monroe Street, Garfield, NJ, at approximately 12:44 a.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Responding Garfield Police officers found a 31-year-old male with apparent stab wounds to his torso. The victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.

An investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard M. Uram. No other information is available at this time.
