Englewood Motorcycle Crash Leaves 18-Year-Old Woman Dead

A tragic collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Englewood on Tuesday evening resulted in the death of an 18-year-old woman, officials reported.

The Englewood Police Department responded to the accident around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Palisade Avenue and Dana Place.

According to police, an 18-year-old man from Haverstraw, New York, was driving the motorcycle eastbound on East Palisade Avenue with an 18-year-old female passenger from Stony Brook, New York. At the same time, a car driven by a 52-year-old woman from Englewood was traveling westbound on East Palisade Avenue and was making a left turn onto Dana Place.

As the car turned left, it collided with the motorcycle, which was heading straight, according to the police statement.

Both the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were ejected upon impact and were rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious injuries. Tragically, the female passenger succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. The motorcycle driver is reported to be in stable condition, while the driver of the car was not injured.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
