Ex-Ridgewood man accused of molesting college softball players due in court next week

Kurt Ludwigsen, the former Ridgewood resident accused of molesting seven of the college softball players he was coaching, will be back in court next week following the postponement of a hearing that was scheduled for Wednesday morning.

Ludwigsen, 44, the former Nyack College softball coach, has been indicted on 197 counts of first-degree felony coercion, forcible touching, sexual abuse, and harassment.

He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.

  1. I can’t think of any other crime where the likelihood of getting caught is so high, while at the same time, the life-long ramifications of getting caught are so great. We’re talking teen-aged girls, and even the ones who “willingly go along with it” are incapable of keeping it to themselves.

    With these obvious risks, you really have to accept that the people who commit these crimes are truly incapable of controlling themselves, and rehabilitation is truly impossible.
