Fair Lawn NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor office said on Friday that a Fair Lawn High School graphic arts teacher and resident was arrested on accusations she engaged in a “sexual relationship” with a student. Christine Knudsen, 44, was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child on Thursday, after the New Jersey Department of Children and Families was told she had engaged in “sexual activity” with a student at her school.
It is also alleged Knudsen took drugs with her victim, which she is said to have provided to the minor, prosecutors said. Prosecutors would not release where the teacher worked, Fair Lawn Superintendent Nicholas J. Norcia wrote in an email to parents Friday night that “a current Fair Lawn High School teacher was arrested and charged with allegations of inappropriate contact with a former student.
