Old Tappan NJ, according to Police Chief Joseph Tracy, a father and his two young children were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Old Tappan on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. when Old Tappan police officer Nicholas Antonucci, stationed at the school grounds, received reports of the accident on Charles Place near Kay Street. Officer Antonucci promptly responded and discovered the three victims on the ground.
Old Tappan ambulances were called to provide medical assistance. Preliminary investigations indicate that the father and children were in a crosswalk on Charles Place, attempting to cross onto Kay Street, when a vehicle turning left onto Kay Street struck them.
