Father and Two Children Hit in Crosswalk in Old Tappan

Old Tappan NJ, according to Police Chief Joseph Tracy, a father and his two young children were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Old Tappan on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. when Old Tappan police officer Nicholas Antonucci, stationed at the school grounds, received reports of the accident on Charles Place near Kay Street. Officer Antonucci promptly responded and discovered the three victims on the ground.

Alleged Hillsdale Shoplifter Caught With Drug Paraphernalia after Police Chase

Hillsdale NJ, on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at approximately 4:20 pm, Hillsdale Police Officers Marro #89 and Bruce #92 responded to the area of Hillsdale Avenue and Broadway for a male party, later identified as Daniel Margulies, who fled from the Walgreens in our jurisdiction with stolen goods. Both officers made initial contact with MARGULIES at the Hillsdale train station, but upon attempting to detain MARGULIES, MARGULIES fled from the officers.

Luring Incident in Old Tappan

Old Tappan NJ, New Jersey State Police Detective Sergeant Dennis Cappello, of the Forensic Photography and Composite Artist Unit, is assisting the Old Tappan Police Department with a child luring investigation.

On Tuesday, September 24, the suspect pictured in the composite sketch attempted to lure a 13-year-old boy while he was walking home from school. The man, who was in a dark-colored sedan, attempted to initiate a conversation with the boy about the Yankees. The boy immediately ran away and called his parents.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40’s with dark hair, dark sunglasses and a goatee.

Old Tappan NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DANIEL G. PFEIFFER (DOB: 6/13/1989; single; and employed as a salesman) of 12 Windsor Place, Old Tappan, New Jersey on charges of Stalking, Invasion of Privacy, Impersonation, Cyber-Harassment, and Contempt of a Stalking Restraining Order. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.
