Ridgewood NJ, February is Reading Marathon month. The Reading Marathon is a wonderful fundraiser that helps to foster a love of reading at school and home, while also raising valuable funds for the
Friends of the Ridgewood Library to purchase books, media and science, art and cultural programs for all ages.
All Ridgewood children (PreK-Gr. 8) are welcome to participate and no registration is required. You can use the trackers provided on the library’s website or through your school to track their reading for the month of Feb. and, at the end of the month, submit the online form to let us know how much you read. No need to return paper forms to school this year. Every submission is eligible for prizes, such as a coupon for a free ice cream cone from
Ben & Jerry’s
or a pair of Beats headphones.
On the Reading Marathon website you’ll also find a list of fun events taking place throughout the month, beginning with a virtual science program, ‘Aliens Escape from Earth’, kicking us off this Friday at 4:00pm.
