Hackensack NJ, on Wednesday May 25th a 26-year-old Teaneck man was arrested by Hackensack Police Department on charges of aggravated assault after an altercation involving a gun, a bat and a dog in the area of Washington Avenue .
Hackensack police said that multiple victims reported that the man, Tshaughn Fields, became embroiled in a dispute over a dog which escalated when he displayed a handgun and threatened them, and damaged the mirrors of their vehicle with a bat. Police said they also received reports that Fields pointed the gun at one of the victims and pursued them in a car as they drove away, “fearing for their life.”
Detectives identified Fields as the suspect through surveillance footage, the release said. Fields was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, criminal mischief and terroristic threats.
